The main difference is that the Trust Socket does not have an integrated distal adapter, giving you complete freedom to choose the adapter you need and position it wherever required according to the alignment.
The Trust Socket is designed as a test socket, while the Resilience Socket can be used as either an interim or definitive socket.
No. The Trust Socket is designed as a test socket and is not intended to be used as a definitive socket.
You can use the same method you normally use to attach a distal adapter to your check sockets. Depending on your usual workflow, this can include using fast-setting adhesives, resin and plaster, or reinforcing the connection with a resin bandage.
Yes. The socket can be re-molded up to five times, provided the distal adapter has not yet been attached.
Once the distal adapter has been attached, the socket can still be re-molded, but this needs to be taken into consideration during the process. The socket can either be re-molded from the distal adapter upwards, or the distal adapter can be removed before re-molding.
Yes. It is possible to laminate over the Trust Socket. We recommend sanding the socket material before and then proceed with the lamination as usual.
Yes. Local adjustments can be made to address specific areas of pressure or insufficient clearance and to fine-tune the socket fit. A local adjustment does not constitute a full re-molding of the socket.
